I was born in Miami FL, but grew up in Okeechobee FL with my parents Roxanne, and Ralph Clark, also with my two younger siblings Amanda (the youngest and the sister) and Peter ( the middle one, and the best brother in the world.) we were poor more often then not struggling to get by so in that sense I was very prepared for a life as an author. Our mom wasn't perfect but she loved us and did her best for us, so I guess we were luckier then most kid our age in that respect.

I got in a lot of trouble when I was younger, so people tended to think that I would end up in and out of jail. Well, for the most part I've proved those people wrong, with the exception of a time or two when I did end up in jail for a bit. The point is that I'm no different then most of you, I've had a hard life, I've been poor most of it (well, all of it, so far. lol ), I've been in jail and in the end I was seen as just another loser, and it took me a long time and a lot of hard work to get out of that place, of darkness to see the light at the end of the tunnel. If it hadn't been for the fans I've had along the way and the encouragement of those that have loved me I might not have made it here. Which is quite a feet from were I came from, with a biological mother that I never knew because she chose drugs over me, plenty of emotional problems during my childhood, being raped when I was in my preteens. To be sitting here today to tell you about who I am is a huge thing for me, hell that you even give a damn enough to be reading this is a major thing for me.

Anyways, time for me to move on before I lose your attention, I started writing poetry as a means of dealing with the thing that I have talked about in the above paragraph as well as to counter the Emo-movement with something that was worth reading. I've always tried to not only put into each poem my own personal self but also a view of the whole that people may not have previously seen themselves, but you'll figure that out if you read Reflections of a Dark Soul, or the poetry book that I intent to follow it, which is called "Sifting through the Sands". There may be a novel in-between the two, but I'll get everything out as soon as I can. there some things I want to change as far as the novel goes.

I started writing journalistically because I was dissatisfied with the way the media has been handling certain issues in the wider world, such as slavery around the world, including in the United States, which is portrayed as not a problem which simply isn't true, I've talked about that in a few articles. Other issues I've dealt with are the genocide in the Darfur region of Sudan. I plan to write much more extensively on these and other issues before I'm done, and I promise you my readers that I will not let up one bit on it nor will ignore other issues by narrowing my sights. you deserve the true without all of the spin.

As for my horror writings and reviews of other horror authors, well I think that all started one night when I was five, my parents when out to a John Melloncamp concert (no I don't know it that was spelled correctly. nor do I care.) and left me and my brother with the neighbors watching us at their house. They let us stay up and watch the original "Night of the Living Dead" and "Return of the Night of the Living Dead" we were so freaking scared that night and for about two weeks after that. terrified that the dead from a nearby cemetery would suddenly come to life and come eat our brains. As I got older I remembered that experience the adrenalin rush every night at sundown, oh my god it was great. I've spent the rest of my life looking for that sort of fear, but I couldn't find it anywhere. So, I started writing "The Road to Hell and Home" which came to me in a dream several night after my former boss Jim "the duck Jackson asked me to write a story about bikers, Indians, drugs, and guns. I never thought it would come as far along as it has but I think everyone will love it when it is finished.

I'll be going back to school this fall to study Journalism and PR as my major's and Creative Writing as a minor, if you'd like to contact me, to do a show, interview, book signing, or other function please contact me at my email coryvclark@yahoo.com.  I'll answer all of you questions, and if I can afford the time and have the money I'll go anywhere to do a show
